MOTIVATED BY WORDS.

FUELED BY PAINT.

Hey there, I’m Emily — part-time pun enthusiast, full-time copywriter-in-training, currently double majoring in Advertising and Psychology at Boston University.

Ironically, I used to dread writing. Getting thoughts from brain to paper felt like decoding ancient hieroglyphics. Becoming a writer? That was...not on my bingo card.

But in high school, I did fall head over heels for painting — the kind of passion that led to all-nighters fueled by caffeine and chaotic brushstrokes. I was convinced I'd be an art major and let my paintings speak for me.

Spoiler alert: plot twist incoming.

Then came George Orwell’s 1984. One moment I was just reading, and the next? I was hooked. Every word felt like it had a secret mission — much like Winston being low-key brainwashed by Big Brother (yes, that’s a reference). That book flipped a switch in me.

I wanted to wield words the way Orwell did — to make people feel something. To say big things with small sentences. To create meaning out of headlines, taglines, and yes… puns.

So here I am, writing copy that turns brands into real people — relatable, trustworthy, a little weird (in a good way). I may not be writing dystopian novels, but I’m definitely telling stories worth remembering.

And this? Just a beginning.
